Samsung’s 105-inch curved Ultra HD (4K) TV priced at $120K

Samsung launched its largest 105-inch Ultra HD TV to US markets priced at whopping $120,000 and will deliver a resolution belong 4K standard.samsung-105-inch-uhd-tv

The 105-inch UN105S9W is highly priced and packs premium features. Apart from the resolution beyond 4K, the Curved UHD TV features a 5120×2160. Consumers will see enhanced image and picture quality due to 11 million pixels. The screen provides a 21:9 aspect ratio compared to the 16:9 ratio that was seen in 1080p HD TV’s and 4K sets. The TV also a feature to convert HD videos to 4K standard.

Joe Stinziano, VP of Samsung Electronics America said in a statement:

“Made for the premium entertainment lover, the 105-inch curved UHD TV features the most advanced technology and design, a massive movie-theater style UHD screen and a curve that creates the ultimate cinematic experience.”

Earlier this year, Samsung had unveiled the 105-inch UHD TV at the Consumer Electronics Show and Stinziano mentioned that the TV was designed for the most passionate of entertainment lovers. Other features include a ultra-dimming system that enhances the depth and contrast ratio that provides an improved perception of images displayed on a curved TV for the ultimate cinematic experience.

After purchase, Consumers will have an “Elite Service” consisting of technicians who will explain the features, show and set up the TV. Samsung is also offering two 100-inch flat screen TV’s and has a lesser resolution when compared to the 105-inch curved UHD TV. The product is available for pre-orders and is set to compete with LG’s 105-inch curved UHD TV which is priced at $70,000.
