Download and Install Android M on Nexus 5, 6 and Nexus 9


Android M, the latest update released by the search engine giant, Google on its Google I/O last month. The latest update Android M operating system, is available for Nexus devices such as Nexus 5, Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 too.

If you own any of these devices, you can install and try Android M operating system developer preview on your Nexus device. The update comes with tons of new feature and also with more stability. The entire process is very elegant; follow the steps that are provided here. We’re not responsible for your device, if anything happens to your mobile while you’re upgrading your mobile. All you need is Android M images and the ADB file to install the Android M on your device.

Before following this procedure, make sure you have taken a full backup of your device. And battery level should be more than 90 percentage before starting the procedure.

Steps to Install Android M on Nexus 5, 6 and 9:

Step 1: From the following link, download Android M Images for the appropriate devices and extract the folder in our personal computer.

  • Android M for Nexus 5
  • Android M for Nexus 6
  • Android M for Nexus 9

Step 2: Download and Install ADB Drivers in your personal computer.

Step 3: Once, ADB drivers are installed in your personal computer, boot the device in the boot-loader mode and connect it to your personal computer.

Step 4: Now, open the Android M folder and execute the file with a name “flash-all”. (Applicable for both windows and Linux)

Step 5: It will take some time, once the flashing process started.

Step 6: Once the process completed, the device will be rebooted automatically.

Now, you can enjoy Android M in your Nexus device.

Note: For step 4, “flash-all” file, you need to choose flash-all.bat for Windows PC and if you’re using Linux PC, choose flsah-all.bat
