Tesla Motors is finally set to launch the first set of cars which is one step ahead of the modern-day high-tech cars. There have been rumors flying all around in the media about the launch of the first generation automated cars and Tesla CEO Elon Musk seems to have aggravated the rumors with his recent tweets. It is undoubted that the Car maker is working on making self driving cars, but when does Tesla actually plan to bring the cars on the mainframe seems to be a question.
The rumors about the launch of the first generation self-driving cars received quite a boost when Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted that the Car maker plans to unveil the ‘D’ and ‘something else’ as well. The date has been stated to be 9th of October. It will be extremely interesting to follow the turn of events on October 9th and the days to follow.
Tesla Motors is not the only automobile maker working on the project of self-driving cars. Google is one of the major players in the arena and in case Tesla does unveil the self-driving car on October 9th or in the near future, it will be interesting to follow the reactions of other Car makers in the field. Tesla Motors has rivals like Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz and Honda Motor Corporation, working in this very field of self-driving cars.
On the other hand, many organizations have claimed that one cannot really leave the complete task of driving on technology. Many experts are of the belief that Tesla Motor’s first generation self-driving cars will not be a complete technology driven car. A completely self driving car is to come probably after quite a few years.
With the tweets, Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk has got the world whispering about the automated cars again. If not, complete rest from driving, the semi-automated cars will certainly reduce the strain on the drivers and will prove helpful in long highway drives.
