As per its tradition, Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy S5 Neo in the coming months as the model number and specifications of the device found on a benchmark listing.
Key specifications of a Galaxy S5 Neo were revealed on the GFXbench after a device with model number SM-G850 was spotted on the site. The will feature a 4.7-inch 720p HD display. The device will be powered by a 1.8GHz Exynos 5 Octa-core processor along with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a hexa-core Mali-T628 GPU. The primary camera might either be a 11MP or 13MP camera and a 2MP front camera. The Galaxy S5 Neo is a smaller version of the Galaxy S5 similar to the Galaxy Note 3 Neo.
According to data from Zauba, the smartphone will be officially released by Samsung as the company has been testing the device since May. The device will run on Android KitKat OS and a feature customized TouchWiz. The smartphone will have Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.
The test devices of the Galaxy S5 Neo were sent to New Delhi from South Korea between 2-4 July and is expected to be launched in two months. The pricing of the Galaxy S5 Neo is not yet known though the mid-range specifications indicate a lower pricing. With the release of the S5 Neo, Samsung adds another device to the list of mid-range Galaxy devices like Zoom, Active and Mini.
