The rumor stating that Apple’s iPhone 6 might just be furnished with processors that can clock a speed of 2GHz was just settling down among the iPhone fans, there is more news for them. According to the reports, Apple’s 5.5 inch iPhone 6 might very well end up being delayed.
Earlier, reports suggested that Apple had the plans of launching the 5.5 inch iPhone 6 sometime later this year. The launch is very well expected to be delayed until the next year.
KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated in a note, found by Apple Insider, states that Apple could launch the 4.7-inch iPhone this fall, while the large-screen phablet launch could be delayed to next year.
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is facing some issues with the metal casing for both 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch iPhone models. According to the rumors, iPhone 6 will be having a newly designed in-cell touch screen. This latest touch technology from Apple will make iPhone 6 much lighter than the previous iPhone models. According to the reports, the issues are more severe in case of larger iPhone models. Thus this puts a serious question on the launch of 5.5 inch iPhone by the end of 2014.
The reports also claim that the Sapphire glass that has been used in the latest models is also having some issues. According to the experts, the glass is probably not strong enough to pass the tests which need to be performed before the official launch of the product. It seems that Apple is having quite a tough period of time with the final touches on iPhone 6. In such a situation, there exist strong chances of Apple delaying the launch of iPhone 6 to 2014.
