A Chinese man has been charged for allegedly trying to steal military info through the network of US organizations. The US Department of Justice is dealing with the proceedings of the case. A Chinese businessman in Canada has been adjudged as a defaulter for hacking the computer systems of the Boeing and US Defense contractors. This deed brought a great panic among the military forces of US.
The Chinese citizen named Su Bin is responsible for hacking the computer systems of the US Military. He is basically an owner of Chinese aviation technology company. He made the conspiracy along with two other individuals and tried to steal the important info pertaining to the military projects of the US.
Su Bin has been charged with hacking offense that ranges from the year 2009 and 2013. He worked with two professional hackers and once he found out the info, the motive was to sell it to the Chinese national companies.
Marc Raimondi, a Justice Department spokesman, told The New York Times:
“We remain deeply concerned about cyber-enabled theft of sensitive information and we have repeatedly made it clear that the United States will continue using all the tools our government possesses to strengthen cybersecurity and confront cybercrime.”
According to the reports, the three culprits have allegedly stolen 65 GB of data that was deemed sensitive for the US military. Su Bin was arrested on the charges on 28 June this year. When the spokesperson from Justice Department Marc Raimondi was confronted, he said that the US is deeply concerned about the leak of sensitive info and this case has been taken very seriously in order to enforce serious rules for such an offence.
The Chicago based Boeing is quite happy with the decision of the US government.
