From past rumors and speculations, it was clear that Apple developers were deeply working on iOS 7.1.1 software update and finally, the update in a 20MB package is now available for download, since this morning.
This update doesn’t comes with any major changes in features, but as usual, it comes with various bug fixes and improvements. This time, Apple has updated the software for improved keyboard with iPhone 5s’ TouchID fingerprint sensor improvements. That means, TouchID fingerprint sensor’s recognition level might be increased with the bug fixes related to the responsiveness of the keyboard. Apple also fixed the issue that occurs when using Bluetooth keyboards with VoiceOver enabled.
Although the company is rolling out the iOS 7.1.1 update to its devices, the security update information hasn’t been updated on its website. It will be available shortly at Apple Security Updates at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1222.
According to the users who already updated their iPhones and iPads to the latest iOS 7.1.1 firmware, the device feels much stable with increased performance after the installation. Till now, there are no bugs reported related to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, network, battery and other minor bugs that usually appears after the incremental iOS updates.
Apple’s next-generation iOS 8 is expected to debut at its WWDC 2014 event to be held at San Francisco on June 2-6. As more than a month left for the announcement, Apple would possibly release one more update to its iOS 7.1 before launching the major iOS 8 mobile operating system.
