LG could launch its second generation G Pro phablet ahead of the MWC 2014 event, as it already sent invitation to Korean Journalists about its upcoming event planned on 13th February.
LG Korea announced in the January-end confirming the device name as LG G Pro 2 and revealed that the device will see a launch date in February. So, all of us expected that the new phablet might be launched at the upcoming Mobile World Congress event on February 24 at Barcelona, Spain.
But, the invitation sent by the South Korean electronics giant hints that the LG G Pro 2 might be debuting in the Feb 13 event as there are no upcoming LG devices are in our radar to get released, expect the rumors of LG G3’s May 2014 release.
The words “Knock-knock knockin’ on” used in the event could be referring to the LG G2 Knock feature, which will turn on the device after tapping twice. The same feature was rumored to come with the LG G Pro 2 phablet as well.
We have already seen a glimpse of the upcoming phablet in the leaked photos, while it’s expected that the LG G Pro 2 to come with the 6-inch full HD 1080p display along with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and the LTE-Advanced network support. For you information, the leaked pic also showed us a mounted keys on its rear panel.
LG could have marketed the LG G Pro phablet aggressively when it launched it in early 2013. But, they have not done it to get the device into its full potential. Even the company took too long time to release to the market after the announcement. But, this time LG looks like in the right direction following its recent announcement of the device (only if the device gets released to the market soon).
