Nokia’a long rumored Android smartphone, Nokia X (codeamed as Normandy) to be released in March 2014 with the affordable Asha series in countries like India, Indonesia and other affordable phone’s market.
Citing the source as a Nokia insider executive, who is familiar with the phones sales division, GoAndroid reported that the device will be released in March month, while the device with the model number RM-980 will be showcased in this month’s MWC 2014 Barcelona event with 6 different colors with the Asha lineup.
According to the last revelation by @Evleaks, Nokia X Android phone to come with 4-inch FWVGA display with modest 480 x 800 resolution, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 5 megapixel rear camera, 4GB of internal storage with expandable micro SD card slot. It’s still unclear, whether the company will release separate dual-SIM variant of the device or the Nokia X itself is a dual-SIM model.
The device is expected to launch with the latest Android 4.4 KitKat, according a Vietnamese online store, which later removed the listed page from the website. But, we have seen some photos other than the last month’s leaked photo of live screen which were taken by a company insider – thanks to NWE France (see the images in the gallery below). It’s also expected to come without the Google Play Store, instead the Nokia Store will be integrated inside the custom Android OS inside the Nokia X (Normandy).
