Windows Phone 8.1 Blue to come with on-screen navigation keys

He made it again. The popular gadgets leakster @Evleaks has posted a screenshot of Windows Phone 8.1 “Blue” (actually a part), which shows the first ever navigation buttons on-screen – Back key, Windows key and a Search key.

The back button, Windows button and the search key wasn’t the part of the Windows Phone till now, which was available on Android devices, since the launch of Ice Cream Sandwich. However, this screenshot seems to be in either inbuilt software’s capacitive touch flavor or hardware button. If @Evleaks means it as a screenshot, then it would be built to into the software.

There could be a chance, after the releasing of Windows Phone 8.1 Blue, Microsoft could leave the device manufacturers with 2 options for these keys- either a virtual software buttons or hardware buttons built into the devices.

The recent rumors also suggests that the Windows Phone 8.1 “Blue” will be coming with Siri-like voice application, a notification center as well as enhanced multitasking capability. There could be a chance that Microsoft could reveal the new operating system at their April 2014’s Build developer conference at San Francisco, CA.
