Samsung fashionable Serif TV hits the market, adding something entirely new to the boring TV designs. Apart from differing in size, TVs look pretty much the same. And we can hardly call ourselves in love with the current looks of these devices. Not anymore.
Samsung recently announced Serif TV, a television designed specifically to blend in perfectly with home or office furniture. The product will be available in a quick while at select design retailers. Serif TV is the result of the company’s collaboration with the famous French designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec.
“From the onset of designing the Samsung SERIF TV, we aimed to craft a modest and accessible object that fused our furniture design expertise with technology,” said Parisian designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec.
Serif TV is the first device created by Samsung in collaboration with a designer. Apart from the new improved aspect, the company has also re-designed the way a TV functions. The product features a refined user interface and a simplified remote control. Serif TV is guaranteed to provide amazing picture quality, crystal sound clarity, along with aesthetics that complement the home or office environment.
The profile is shaped in the form of an “I”, the body is slim and minimalistic, but the top surface is broader than the rest of the body, forming a shelf-like surface. Thanks to this type of construction, the television ensures neat display in the home or office, either on top of a piece of furniture or directly attached to the wall.
Users will get the high-end 4K UHD resolution that ups four times the resolution of FullHD TVs, all on a 40-inch screen. The HDR Premium technology provides enhanced picture color and brightness, as well as more realistic images. Underneath its shell, it features a quad-core processor that makes it easier to switch between live television, streaming content, and apps. The Curtain Mode will give users an abstract impression of what’s on the screen by shutting down the content but not the TV itself.
The 40-inch Serif TV from Samsung will become available starting August this year for the United States market, at the whopping price of $1,499. The product will be available in white at blue, at high-end design retailers.
