Combined sales of Pokemon X and Y has crossed 100,000 units in Australia, Nintendo announced.
The titles have set a new record for Nintendo Games in Australia and New Zealand. Pokemon X and Y broke the record of Pokemon Black and White which sold 80,000 units in the first week and the latter had the same numbers on the first day.
Growing demand has caused some retailers to go out-of-stock in Australia and New Zealand causing Nintendo to announce that additional copies would be made available by the weekend.
As Pokemon X and Y released into the market on 12th October 2013, sales hit a new record of 100,000 units, Nintendo’s highest ever. Pokemon X and Y caused much popularity among consumers leading to an out-of-stock situation in Australia and New Zealand. Nintendo Australia has promised additional copies will be made available by the weekend.
Consumers can purchase Pokemon X and Y through Nintendo eShop. Exclusive Nintendo 3DS download software, Virtual console and Nintendo DsiWare titles can also be directly downloaded to the system from the eShop.
