Sennheiser’s Orpheus headphones have a starting price of $55,000.

Following the company’s recent announcement on November 3rd, users have all agreed that Sennheiser’s Orpheus headphones are officially the most expensive headphones at present. The headset will be available on the market in 2016 with a starting price of $50,000.

German company Sennheiser likes to consider itself one of the best producers of luxury technological products. Judging by their past collections, we can confirm that the developer is, indeed a renowned producer as their headphones can produce a much more qualitative sound in respect to existing models on the market.

Yet, the quality of the sound is not enough to justify the $50,000 price, consumers might rightfully assume. Sennheiser has replaced many of the traditional elements with new materials that can better convey sounds.

As the company has accustomed us, the headphones come with a special casing that reminds us of the professional headphones we used to have back in the 80s. The marble case, which some might rightfully consider a little bit far-fetched for the current product, has a glass cover that is automatically opened the moment the user pushes the play button.

The headphones are carefully positioned in the marble box and protected by sponge. One gets the impression that he has entered in the possession of a rare treasure when one opens the marble case. The quality of the sound can confirm that Sennheiser’s Orpheus headphones are indeed a treasure.

Developers have carefully selected the materials they have used on the headphones because these had to mirror the salty price of their new product. Thus, oxygen free copper cabling have been added to the model, as well as genuine leather elements to give users a much more comfortable feel while they listen to their favorite tunes.

Amps have been added to the ear cups to minimize cabling noise and the frequency rate has been expanded from 8Hz to more than 100KHz. This new values are a lot bigger compared to the 20Hz-20kHZ figures that are usually featured on normal headphones.

Although Sennheiser has stated that the starting price will be set at $55,000, the developing company is expected to raise the costs by the time the product will be officially launched in 2016. Tech analysts expect the price to get to approximately $60,000.
