Recently, Motorola has unveiled two of its flagship mobiles namely Motorola Moto X Pure Edition and Motorola Moto X Play. Both of the devices deserve the place in the heart of global consumers with its unique as well as extra-ordinary features. Both the smartphone has similar design and features, but few of them are different to distinguish the devices. Here I have compared both the devices by comparing them from pillar to post and here it is.
In General, both the devices Moto X Pure and Moto X Play are very similar in nature. In terms of physical weight, the Moto X Play is a little smaller than the Pure version and 10 grams lighter than that of the Moto X Pure. Both the devices come with a IP52 nano coated build, which act as a resistance to the dust and water. Since the device is coated with nano coating, you can feel safe from the water and dust.
In terms of Processor, Moto X Pure and Moto X Play has a major difference in between them. Moto X Pure powered with hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor with Adreno 418 GPU. While comparing with Adreno 430 and 420, Andreno 418 is a very old one, and the only advantage is that, it can able to play Quad HD videos. In the meanwhile, Moto X Play comes with octa-core processor Snapdragon 615 with Cortex-A53 CPU, with combination of various clock speeds. This made the device more unique than the other model. But, 615 is slower than 808 processors, which shows that 808 is more powerful than the 615 processor, even it has more cores. The most interesting fact is that, Snapdragon 801 in Moto X first generation, is more powerful than that of the current model of Moto X.
In terms of Display, both the device is similar in size, Moto x Play comes with a screen size of 5.5 inches whereas Style got 5.7 inches of screen size. The former one comes with Full High Definition IPS LCD and later one comes with QUAD High Definition IPS LCD screen. Both the device offer excellent quality and with the help of Moto Display application, the power consumption of the device reduces a lot while compared to its predecessor.
In terms of Camera, The company has focused lots of attention to make top-notch image quality with its camera. Motorola offered 21MP of camera, manufactured by Sony in its both flagship models. In addition to that, the device has the capacity to capture video of 4K without heating up the device. The images shot with the camera will be more clear, even if it is done in very low light. Both the device comes with 5 Mega Pixel of front camera, and allows the users to take selfies more perfectly.
Moto X Style comes up to 64 GB of internal memory, and both the device comes with an option to remove MicroSD card. Moto X Style is powered with battery capacity of 3,000 mAh where as another variant comes with battery capacity of 3,630 mAh battery. Both the device comes with Turbo Charger, which charges your device more quickly than ever.
Finally, Pure starts from $400 in the United States, and Play sold for approx $305. If you want better performance device, you can choose Moto X Pure/Style, else you can opt for Play, which comes with more battery backup.
