Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Intel Corporation (INTC) have taken major steps by hiring more women in their circuit. Technology has always been blamed for being a bit biased towards women when it comes to hiring them for work. Many tech giants have faced the wrath of the society for being the face of the biased behavior that the industry puts through to Women. Off Late, various companies have put in great efforts to bring in diversity in the work field.
A study suggested that there is an overwhelming lack of women in the technical world and is slowly and steadily becoming a major point of concern all across the country. The most affected region is the Silicon Valley. It has been in the recent times that many corporations have taken the efforts to bring in more women into the circuit, in order to counter the deficiency. The experts believe that having diversity on work field is an extremely necessary condition nowadays considering various impacts of the technological sector.
According to the reports, Apple Inc. has been recruiting more women candidates over the past 12 months. According to the statistics, 35% of Apple Inc’s global recruitment comprises of Women. The percentage rises dramatically to 50%, when it comes to the recruitments in the United States. Overall, there has been a 65% hike in the global recruitment of Women over the past 12 months for Apple Inc.
On the other hand, Intel has also recruited more female employees this year. According to the reports, the company has surpassed its goal of 40% diversity in recruitment till the mid 2015. The authorities are hopeful that the recruitment diversity will be maintained for the rest of the year as well.
