Motorola will be announcing the Moto G affordable smartphone with somewhat neat specs soon, especially in UK and the Phones4U promo card for Moto G has been leaked at GSMArena.
Moto G, a midrange smartphone from Motorola leaked several times on web, once in Motorola official website – where it placed a Moto G option in menu bar which led to moto-g.com and another time by the legendary Twitter leakster @evleaks, which gave a photo with some upfront specs line.
Regarding the specifications of Moto G as per the leak, The 4.5-inch with 720p resolution (smaller than Moto X) device with ANDROID 4.3 Jelly Bean boasts an 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor and the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with 720p video shooting capacity along with an 1.3-megapixel front camera. 8GB inbuilt storage space and Bluetooth 4.0 is another additions to the features list. No battery information provided here, but the previous leaks suggests a 1950mAh battery for good battery backup for the budget smartphone. However, no Android KitKat for the device during the launch, but it may get the update soon – obviously Motorola is a Google company now!
The price tag of the Moto G will be cheaper as it expected to come for £134.95 in UK without any contracts, which could be around $215 in US. No release date is unveiled anywhere but we expect it to be launched in holiday season (see the promo card’s Christmas theme) to make most out of the season. Possibly with Dual-SIM, Moto G’s chance to enter into the emerging markets in Asia and other countries are high. And this seriously low pricing might make some more sales than the competitor devices, only if they produce enough units.
