Ever Since the release of Samsung Galaxy Note 4, the popularity of the smartphone surpassed the company’s flagship Galaxy S5. Samsung then released Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and the latest S6 Active. As Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S6 have some features in common, here is a comparison of both the smartphones.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 incorporates a premium design with a metal frame, sleek faux metal back panel along with the large QHD display. Galaxy S6 Active features a sturdy, durable and waterproof design that provides a premium look for the smartphone. Though Galaxy S6 Active has the advantage of waterproof and dust-proof certification, the device is quite bulky. The device increases it appeal with its shock resistance and physical buttons.
One of the reasons for the popularity of Galaxy Note 4 was the neat case and the big QHD display. The device came with a S-pen and additional features in TouchWiz for note taking, aimed at business and power users. However, Galaxy S6 Active features the new Exynos chipset, storage system and upgraded camera and hardware, offering top-notch performance. Galaxy Note 4 can also match the same tasks as well, and its camera can match the performance of Galaxy S6 Active.
Galaxy Note 4 features a 5.7-inch QHD display while the Galaxy S6 Active features a 5.1-inch AMOLED QHD display with a sharper screen and increased pixel density. Galaxy S6 Active offers a superior camera quality with new features and can handle low light better. However, Galaxy Note 4 is also capable of capturing quality images with its camera. Both the devices feature a 16MP rear camera. Galaxy Note 4 features a 3.7MP front camera while the S6 Active features 5MP front camera.
Galaxy S6 Active offers a better battery life than Galaxy Note 4. Galaxy S6 Active can charge wirelessly, and can charge faster than Note 4 during fast charging. AT&T will offer Galaxy S6 Active under AT&T Next plan, and Galaxy Note 4 is priced at $300 on-contract and $600 off-contract.
