The eager crowd at E3 event hoped that Sony would unveil a 1TB PlayStation 4 model, but the upcoming game titles grabbed the attention. However, Sony announced today that a new version of PS4 with 1TB storage.
The new model will be lighter and power-efficient as the description claims that it will use eight percent less-power and will weigh 2.5kg, 10 percent lighter than the current version. Apart from the added memory, there are no major changes in the 1TB PS4. The console will be available in Jet Black and Glacier White colors, and the HDD bay will feature a matte finish for a casual look. Sony has confirmed that the architecture is similar to the older PS4.
“The PS4 system’s game portfolio will continue to expand with highly anticipated titles..,” wrote Sony in a press release.
Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) Worldwide Studios is set to release popular titles like Sengoku Basara4 Sumeragi (Capcom Co.,Ltd), God of War III Remastered, Until Dawn, The Tomorrow’s Children and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd). 1TB PS4 is set to release next month on July 15 across Europe, and the prices will vary across retailers. The release date for North America is yet to be announced, but will it be known the day before.
At this year’s E3 press conference, Sony showcased original titles like Firewatch and Horizon: Hero Dawn set to release in 2016.
