Google Inc.’s (NASDAQ:GOOG) YouTube has officially announced its own online gaming arena, which has already been pitted as the rival to Amazon’s Twitch. Well, this is not the words that have come from YouTube, but the scenario does not say anything different.
The reports have it that YouTube Gaming will make its way through to the users in the United States of America and the Great Britain in the coming months. The users around the globe might just have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on YouTube Gaming.
According to the statement made by the product manager, Alan Joyce, YouTube Gaming will be all about the best and the favorite games of the users. The reports have it that the games will be managed in a similar way that is used to manage videos by YouTube. In that case, there is no doubt that finds your favorite game will be like slicing a cake. It is expected that YouTube Gaming will start off with around about 25000 games with a specific page for each game. The game publishers will also have their own pages, if in case; you turn out to be inclined towards any specific game developer.
The step to bring out its own online gaming platform does not come as a shock to numerous individuals. There had always been rumors about Google planning to buy out Twitch, which was later acquired by Amazon instead. Thus, as it seems YouTube Gaming and Twitch will have an inherent rivalry running through all along.
The interesting fact is that all the major tech giants are into gaming sector and the advent of YouTube Gaming will only make thing more interesting. With the increasing rivalry between Xbox and Playstation, we might just have another competition to talk about; i.e., between Twitch and YouTube Gaming.
