Nokia Lumia 1520 phablet as well as Nokia Lumia 2520 Windows RT tablet will be first launched in US via AT&T as announced by the carrier today after the Nokia event at Abu Dhabi.
Nokia has just unveiled 2 large-screen smartphones as well as its first tablet in an event held at Abu Dhabi, UAE. The large screen, powerful camera with beautiful camera and streaming apps makes Lumia 1520 distinct apart from other phones. AT&T released a press release saying that it will launch Lumia 1520, a 6-inch phablet as well as Lumia 2520 Windows 8.1 RT tablet in US soon. Nokia Lumia 1320 is a cheaper version large screen phone aimed at the emerging markets in Asia, especially in China an Middle East countries.
“We’re delighted to add the Nokia Lumia 2520, the new Windows RT 8.1 tablet, to our line-up just in time for the holiday season,” said Chris Penrose, senior vice president, Emerging Devices, AT&T Mobility.
“We are proud to bring the Nokia Lumia 1520 exclusively to the U.S. on the nation’s fastest and now most reliable 4G LTE network,” said Jeff Bradley, senior vice president, Devices, AT&T Mobility
AT&T never mentioned the price and exact release date, but the price tag would be $749 before the tax and subsidies and AT&T would provide with the $199 price tag with 2 years contract and it’s our expectation, not the confirmation.
Apart from AT&T, it seems Verizon Wireless also keen on releasing Windows RT tablet by Nokia as its unveiling the device to its subscribers in this link.
