Google quietly lists Nexus 5 for $349 at Google Play store, later pulled back

After a bunch of reports on rumors of Nexus 5 smartphone specifications, photos, availability and price, Google has silently listed the new Nexus 5 smartphone, made by LG and only listed in US Google Play store temporarily. However, the listing is removed later and replaced by the previous model – Nexus 4.

Google has listed the new Nexus 5 alongside Nexus 7 (2013) and Nexus 10 with the caption “Capture the everyday and the epic in fresh new ways” and regarding the price, the company wrote “starting at $349”. We guess that it may be occurred accidentally or the listing is in progress as when we clicked on the link, the page wasn’t loading at all.

According to the rumors, LG made Nexus 5 by Google will run on latest Android 4.4 KitKat mobile OS that might be released in few weeks and the cost expectation was between $300 to $399 – and now the price seems to be starting from $349 for 16GB model, according to the listing. Last week, we have spotted the third-party (spigen) case designed for the new Nexus 5 at Google+. And till date, there is no words came out from Google regarding the release date, but this accidental move (may be, intentionally!) suggests that the device is most likely on the way to release in this month-end or for November release.

Many smartphone accessories makers are already listed their Nexus 5 cases in Amazon, where the case manufacturers i-Balson, Ringke and ionic posted the stock date as October 30, October 31 and November 2 respectively. We have gathered some pics of the devices along with the cases in below gallery. Are you waiting for the latest of Google Flagship phone series?
