Now you can have the option to save the “snaps” for more than 10 seconds by adding it to “My Story”, which will stay there until 24 hours, then disappears and the stories gets constantly updated keeping it fresh.
Snapchat added a new major feature since its launch 2 years ago as Snapchat Stories, where any users can add any of their images and videos to “Stories” to make it available for 24 hours, which won’t get disappeared in 10 seconds. The new Snapchat Stories feature is a rolling compilation of snaps from last 24 hours to show your friends. During the day, you can add anything in that day to “My Story” section above other contacts. There is also a shortcut in Snapchat application’s camera windows, which will also add your snaps to “My Story” section. Remember, these stories can be viewed by you and your friends unlimited time in 24 hours. Users will get the summary of who viewed and other details of their stories.
Evan Spiegel, CEO of Snapchat said to The Verge:
“The last snap today will also be the beginning of tomorrow, so there’s no pressure to compose a narrative.”
