Adobe Photoshop is celebrating its 25 years of success in celebration and has dedicated a special webpage for the event. A brilliant video showcasing the artwork created by designers using the software for inspiring professional and amateur artists around the world.
Photoshop began to develop in 1987 when a student Thomas Knoll wanted to create a grey scale pixel imaging program with the help of Macintosh Plus. In 1989, Adobe licensed Photoshop and the first version was released for Apple Macintosh in 1990. Knoll’s brother John, an employee at LucasFilm Industrial Light and Magic also helped in developing the software.
“For 25 years, Photoshop has inspired artists and designers to craft images of stunning beauty and reality-bending creativity,” said Shantanu Narayen, Adobe president and CEO.
Adobe fans will also have the opportunity to interact with Thomas Knoll during Ask Me Anything session on Reddit on Thursday. Some new new might be revealed during the session and all questions will be answered. As a part of celebrations a contest will take place where 25 artists below 25 years are expected to share their expertise on the software by uploading content.
From Movie production to the mobile app creation Photoshop has come a long way from its beginning. Narayen added that Photoshop magic is available to millions of users due to Adobe Creative Cloud. The short video with Aerosmith’s music (Dream On) features projects contributed by artists all over the world and shows the artistic abilities of the software.
CC2014 is the latest version of Photoshop and is offered along with Creative Cloud Photoshop Plan. Users can check the complete timeline of events that was released as a part of the celebrations. The software is a must have for photo enthusiasts around the world who showcase their photography and imagination with editing skills.
