Update: Ignore this post and visit http://www.web.whatsapp.com and scan the QR code from your phone to use it on any desktops. WhatsApp is an instant messaging app for smart phone users that uses data-based services provided by your network operator. Thus sending messages using WhatsApp does not cost any network charges and instead only data costs get charged which are next to nothing. In simple words, WhatsApp uses the internet to enable communication between users as compared to a networked based SMS service.
WhatsApp is the brainchild of two former Yahoo employees who founded WhatsApp Inc. in 2009. It was founded by Brian Acton and Jan Koum, who based their company in Mountain View, California. WhatsApp is currently so popular that it has about 700 million daily active users, compared to 830 million users that are active on Facebook. Sensing a possible threat from WhatsApp, which people started preferring more than Facebook, when it came to social network based communication, Facebook decided to acquire WhatsApp in the year 2014 for a fat whopping acquisition amount of $19 billion.
Even though there have been sporadic news items regarding a possible PC version release for WhatsApp, nothing concrete has been forthcoming as of now. Thus most individuals who do not possess a smart phone are denied the exciting messaging world of WhatsApp. Not only that, such a deficiency also denies smart phone users greater convenience at times when they would rather prefer using WhatsApp on the convenience of their computers than their smart phones.
That is why we are here, to help you access and enjoy the super awesome app, ‘WhatsApp’, right on your personal computer. Choose the option which suits you best. You could either purchase the software and enter an activation key or you could choose to continue with the trial version of the software. If you do not wish to purchase the software in the future, then you can go for ‘Bluestacks’ which is another android emulator equally good as ‘YouWave’. Bluestacks is available for free.
