Get Sprint (NASDAQ:S) subscription and pay half of what you are paying now. Yes, Sprint has announced many new customer plans this Tuesday to attract customers and help them reduce their bills. Targeting rivals Verizon and AT&T with a new ad campaign, Sprint wants to increase its customers by offering early termination fee to subscribers who switch.
The above image is an example bill on Sprint vs AT&T NEXT’s 15GB shared plan and Verizon’s More Everything 15GB shared plan, where users can save 50 percent of the bill value if they switch to Sprint.
The new campaign will air from Friday and it will try its best to swoon and bring in more customers to Sprint. The halved bills as promised will be a reality as the marketing material claims. The CEO of Sprint, Marcelo Claure, will be in the latest promotional campaign that will run nationwide.
The wireless service will be given at special rates during the Cut Your Bill in Half campaign. The 30-second ad could really replicate T-mobile all over US and hurt wireless carriers like Verizon and AT&T. Sprints hopes to have the best December in terms of acquiring customers. A strong message of competition has been already out and customers who switched got chatty with Claure and he was very particular to note what made them switch. While finances are a great bargain to switch, but it has to compete with shared data plans of other carriers.
Cut Your Bill in Half Event! Bring us your Verizon or AT&T bill and we’ll cut your rate plan in half. For example, a Verizon customer paying $140 per month for 4 lines + 10GB of data can get 4 lines + 10GB of data on Sprint for $70 per month.
It is not that strong in terms and deals, but paying less is a special motivator. The company continues to keep up with competition everyday. Many new sales persons have been hired by Sprint to keep up with the holiday season. Also providing better customer service is helping Sprint make their mark with the cut your bill in half campaign.
Marcelo Claure said in a blog post, “As the new CEO of Sprint, I’m committed to talking with our customers in a clear and straightforward way. Too often in our industry, we have companies trying to shout over each other with claims that they are offering the best pricing EVER. We will not just add to this noise.”
Going forward, it is pretty exciting to see how things work out for customers in a long term association with Sprint or it is similar to the Family shared plan the company launched earlier. Try it out and decide yourself!
