The German car maker is about to add a flair to its legacy with the confirmation of Mercedes-AMG GT GT3 Racer. There were rumors about the same this year, but the fans had to wait longer for it to be confirmed by the company. Mercedes Benz has now announced that AMG GT is on the company’s agenda.
The company confirmed that an FIA GT3 variant of AMG GT will replace the current crop SLS GT3. The boss of AMG Tobias Moers unveiled that AMG GT will be available for grabs I the 2016 season. The other details about the future car have not been revealed yet, but some of the features have been unraveled by the company about AMG GT Black Series.
Tobias Moers confirmed that the car would do 0-100 Km/h in just 2.8 seconds, which is phenomenal to say the least. The company is looking forward to make a car that possesses more power, lesser weight and better aerodynamics to help the car attain speeds in split seconds.
Tobias also added that the inner features of the car would impress one and all. It is certainly one of the most anticipated cars of the upcoming seasons. The company plans to shelve out 80 KG weight from GT S and also boost the power to 550 hp, which is an exceptional figure.
The GT Black series will be able to cover 100 Km/h in just 3.6 seconds, which is lesser time than what GT S took. The balance and the power of the recently announced car will also be way ahead of its predecessor.
