We have had quite a few comparisons drawn between two most important launches of this quarter of the year. The launch of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in China and the subsequent launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in the United States and United Kingdom is probably one of the main events for both the devices. The launch was of further importance as both the devices had been launched approximately a month ago and finally, two days ago they hit the major markets in respective cases.
The launch of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus was delayed in China due to the various legal issues that stopped Apple Inc. from launching the devices. Although both the iPhone models have had a real good time, but a good market in China can take the sales figures beyond the realms. China is one of the major markets for Smartphones and the subsequent launch is only going to boost the numbers in the near future.
Talking of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, is hitting the United States market on October 23. The device will be available for the customers at a price of just $299.99 on a two year contract with wireless service providers like Verizon, Sprint and AT&T. Without the two year contract, the customers will have to pay a whopping amount of $825.99, $720 and $699.99 respectively.
The United States comes second right after China in being the largest Smartphone market of the world. Thus, it is clear that the late launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in the United States must have had an impact on the sales figures for sure. The 23rd October launch might very well make amends to that number.
On the other hand, the United Kingdom is the largest base of smartphones in Europe. Along with the UK, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will also be launched in countries like France, Italy, Germany, etc. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be available in Europe with carriers like EE and Vodafone.
What will be interesting to see is which markets influence the sales greater in both cases and what turns out to be the impact, considering both iPhone and Galaxy Note 4 are flagship devices of their respective manufacturers.
