Quickoffice nailed as Google Docs, Sheets and Slides can do its work

The fact that Google had launched Quickoffice to help its own applications is not unknown to a lot of you. And it seems that Google has achieved the aims with distinction. With the launch of a series of editing applications for mobile, Google has now paved the way for Quickoffice to rest in peace. Quickoffice was one of the main productivity applications for Google and its other apps like Docs, Sheets and Slides. The application had seriously helped in creating a balance that was being disturbed due to the lack of editing qualities of Google’s applications.quickoffice-ios-app

Now with the work of Quickoffice over, Google has decided to erase the traces of the application from all the application stores. The most interesting fact is that Quickoffice will also be removed from Google Play itself. According to many people who use Quickoffice are of the idea that this is not a good move by Google. Quickoffice has its own set of users. The removal of Quickoffice will not only mean that the users with Quickoffice cannot update it anymore; they will also have to look to manage more editing applications when one was perfectly serving the needs.

This is not surprising on Google’s part as well. According to the working pattern that Google follows to a certain extent, it is quite obvious that something that is typical redundant will be removed. Additionally, the growing word for Google docs for official works has allowed Google the breathing space. The fact with Quickoffice is also the same. Quickoffice has served the users for over 12 years and now it is over.

As in Google’s statement:

“With the integration of Quickoffice into the Google Docs, Sheets and Slides apps, the Quickoffice app will be unpublished from Google Play and the App Store in the coming weeks. Existing users with the app can continue to use it, but no features will be added and new users will not be able to install the app.”
