E3 2014: Activision unveils official lineup of games & toys

Activision unveiled its official lineup of games including Destiny, Call of Duty franchise, Skylanders Trap Team, toys and accessories at the E3 event on Monday.activision

Major game titles like Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Destiny and Skylanders Trap Team were unveiled during the event. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, developed by Sledgehammer games will depict a new era in the Call of Duty series. The game will feature an advanced soldier with an exoskeleton and futuristic weapons. Gamers can expect stunning visuals, new characters and an immersive storyline set in the future. The game will be released for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC on November 4.

“This year’s has been years in the making for us. Each game we are showcasing is the result of our commitment to quality and innovation: our first 3-year development and our first new lead developer on the Call of Duty franchise in a decade with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision.

Destiny is an action-based game set in a mysterious world jointly developed by Bungie, creators of Halo and Activision. The game is the world’s first “Shared World Shooter” where players can choose to play in single player, competitive, cooperative or public mode. Players are Guardians of the last city with incredible powers and to explore the expanse of the solar system. The game will be released on September 9th for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3.


Skylanders Trap Team is the latest in the Skylanders series developed by Toys by Bob creators of popular Toys-for-Life toyline. In Skylanders Trap Team, players can bring characters to life and capture enemies with traps using the Traptanium Portal while playing the game. The game will be released in North America on October 5 for Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4.
