E3 2014: DeepSilver unveils Dead Island 2 at Sony press conference


DeepSilver has announced Dead Island 2, the sequel to Dead island at Sony’s E3 press conference and will be released in spring 2015.dead_island1

Dead Island will include “seamless” multiplayer feature for upto eight players to interact, battle and co-exist for a completely next-gen multiplayer experience. Users can battle out new races like the action-based Berserker to the stealth Hunter. Dead Island 2 has been completely revamped with a “never before seen” weapons and will feature melee combat and role-playing game elements. Players can also handcraft their weapons and heroes.

DeepSilver described Dead Island 2 in a press release,

“Several months after the events on Banoi, the united States military has put the Golden State under full quarantine. Combining the classic Dead Island elements of immersive close combat, action and role-playing, Dead Island 2 features crazy, never-before-seen handcrafted weapons and over-the-top characters in taking players from the iconic golden gate to the celebrated beachfront boardwalk of southern California’s Venice Beach”

Publisher DeepSilver officially announced the game at Sony E3 news conference. Dead island 2 is developed by YAGER Development, the makers of Spec Ops: The Line and will be published by DeepSilver. Dead island 2 utilizes Unreal Engine 4 and exclusive content will be offered for PS4. The trailer of the game revealed a man jogging through Venice beach and gets infected.Dead Island 2 is the sequel to Dead Island: Riptide and will be available in spring 2015.
