Samsung is rolling out a new software update for its International Galaxy S5 smartphones with camera and fingerprint scanner tweaks, but the software still remains at Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware.
The news reported at Sammobile, which revealed that the new update comes with some improvements related to camera’s startup speed, response time of the fingerprint scanner and gallery app inside Android.
First rolling out of the new update appeared to be started in UK and the same update could come to all International Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900F devices across the globe. Sammobile reported that the camera app and gallery app opens faster than before. Even the fingerprint sensor’s recognition has been improved to detect the fingerprints quickly and accurately and it works well with one-handed use too.
This update now available through Samsung Kies software only and not received any OTA notification by any users yet. If you know, how to download and install the official firmware update via Odin software manually, then you can download the file from the link below.
No official announcement about the new minor software update (G900FXXU1ANE2) from Samsung. This update might carry the bug fixes as well as other performance improvements as well. If everything goes well, Samsung might also release the similar update to carrier-version of its device soon.
