Samsung to launch premium metallic Galaxy S5 this year, beware HTC One M8!

Image credit - SamsungSamsung is to launch its premium version of Galaxy S5 flagship smartphone in June this year, if the reports from the Korean newspaper Asia Today are to be believed.

The upcoming premium metallic version of Samsung Galaxy S5 will have a 20-megapixel camera and a high-res QHD screen with 2560 x 1440p resolution, this updated S5 will aim to battle with some of best Smartphones in the market.

Interestingly, Samsung is coming up with a full metal body for the new S5. The HTC One M8 has been admired for its sleek design and the higher quality it has. It looked gorgeous and has awarded the handset four and a half stars and has awarded as “Best Buy”.

According to Asia Today, it has included a full specifications list expected in the premium S5. As in the list, it should have a top range 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor and an eight-core processor option available in markets where the 4G penetration is low and it has 3GB of RAM.

The original Galaxy S5’s specifications have gone under a complete makeover. The old model had a plastic body, with a 16-MP camera and 2GB of RAM with Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor.

This is not the first time where Samsung releasing the updated version of its smartphones soon after the release of the original one. Samsung launched Galaxy S3 mini after launching its original Samsung Galaxy S3, similarly it has done the same with Samsung Galaxy S4, where it had released a variant with optical zoom camera lens called the Galaxy S4 Zoom too. Don’t forget about the rough and tough version of Samsung Galaxy S4 Active. You could expect the launch of Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom (K Zoom) in tomorrow’s media event.

In terms of quality it’s a clear leap and it is a challenge to HTC who has been leading in the market in terms of the Smartphone design. It is believed, that the new S5 is Samsung’s attempt to make it in the top-end Smartphones. Beware HTC One (M8), Samsung is coming!
