Canonical has announced that its popular open source operating system, updated Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Long Term Support) is available for download from 17th April onwards.
This is probably one of the best illustrations of the proverb that ‘Time flies.’ Most of the people are presently not even well versed with the way of using the last upgradation by Ubuntu. Yup that is true with majority of the users are still getting versed with the Saucy Salamander. The last version of Ubuntu ensured that the users start expecting more from Canonical but things will transpire in such speed was not expected by anybody.
Well, speaking of the news now, Canonical is up with Ubuntu 14.04 LTS already. However, the last version was launched less than 6 months ago and the people are already looking forward to Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.
According to the news and rumors, Ubuntu 14.04 LTS has been codenamed as ‘TRUSTY TAHR’. So after Saucy Salamander made the people thinking that how good things could be when it came to security, Ubuntu 14.04 LTS is much efficient. Trusty Tahr will be providing you security updates for 5 years instead of the regular 9 month.
This is probably a lot for the present features that is available. But do you really think that this is all? No it is not! This will be the first time that Ubuntu will be venturing into High resolution screens. Since Ubuntu is one of the favored ones for server and enterprise desktops, resolution was not its forte.
With Ubuntu 14.04 LTS things are also expected to change in this sphere. The operating system will be the perfect one to be working with in the high-definition screens, touch screens, etc. Ubuntu 14.04 is now available for download for free.
