By saying that it would be open doors for more Glass Explorers, Google confirmed to begin selling its Google Glass wearable computing device in United States for just one day, for any adult, on April 15.
The search engine giant has also noted that the company is not ready yet to bring the device to outside of US. Google Glass will be available for sale on April 15 with the price tag of $1,500 + tax. As there are limited numbers of Google Glass available for sale on that particular day, it’s better to mark your calendar and purchase Glass from here.
Google said in the statement in its Google+ post:
Our Explorers are moms, bakers, surgeons, rockers, and each new Explorer has brought a new perspective that is making Glass better. But every day we get requests from those of you who haven’t found a way into the program yet, and we want your feedback too.
If you are a newbie and don’t know what Google Glass is, it’s better to head over to the official website to know what it does, how it works and how to get one. In simple term, Google Glass is a internet-connected smart gadget, which looks like an eyewear, but with an optical head-mounted display. You could view information from the display in a smartphone-like hands-free format by communicating via natural voice commands.
In March 2014, Google partnered with Italian premium and luxury eyewear company Luxottica Group to bring innovative and stylish wearable smartglass with Google Glass. Moreover, Google also unveiled four different styles of frames with prescription glasses for additional $225 in January-end.
