At February’s MWC 2014 event at Barcelona, Nokia’s CEO Stephen Elop has promised to roll out the second major software update for many Nokia Asha series of affordable phones and now, the company has started issuing the updates from today onwards.
The new software update will be available for Nokia Asha 230, 500, 501, 502 and 503 (both dual-SIM and single-SIM versions) that will bring new features such as Nokia Mix Radio, Panorama support, Microsoft OneDrive, Social sharing features such as Facebook likes and Twitter re-tweets, birthdays in Fastlane, improved camera app with audible “selfie assistance” and some parental controls.
If you have any of these handsets with you, you will get the push notification for the update soon. You could also manually check for the update on your phone.
While we talking about the new features, the new “selfie assistance” will tell you whether your face is at the center or not, when taking the photo via its rear camera. Panorama is the most required feature by most, hence the same has been added to the camera software.
With built-in Microsoft’s OneDrive cloud storage service, users could now automatically upload their files to cloud drive. Parental control allows the users to put a PIN code (password) for web browser ad Nokia Store access. You could see the complete features in this link, or watch the video embedded below.[ Source ]
