AT&T has unveiled its Samsung Galaxy S5’s pricing and availability details today, where the Samsung flagship will be sold for $200 with the 2-year contract and for $650 without any contracts.
AT&T not only announced the price and availability details, but also started to take pre-orders of the Galaxy S5 smartphones, starting from March 21st. The carrier will also announced to sell the Samsung’s Tizen OS-based Gear 2 smartwatch for $299, lower-end Gear 2 Neo for $199 and Samsung Gear Fit smartband for $199.
However, if the carrier’s customers opt for any of the AT&T Next plans, then they could get the new handset for $32.5 per month (AT&T Next 12) or $25 per month(AT&T Next 18).
As part of the promotion, AT&T will provide you $50 discount, if you order the Samsung Galaxy S5 with either Gear 2 or Gear 2 Neo smartwatches. Meanwhile, if you order the handset, starting from today, then you will get the handsets in early April, while the official launch of the smartphone is said to be planned on April 11.
This price tag reminds us the last year’s Samsung Galaxy S4’s price tag on AT&T, where the carrier launched the S4 with the same price tag, except the contract-free smartphone’s $10 difference.
Regarding the specifications, Samsung Galaxy S5 to come with latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS, 2.5GHz quad-core processor, 5.1-inch full HD Super AMOLED display screen, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage space with micro SD card slot that could be expanded up to 128GB, 16MP primary camera, 2MP front camera, fingerprint scanner and a 2,800mAh battery.
