World’s largest aerospace company Boeing has unveiled its own Android-based smartphone Boeing Black with security features and modular design.
Boeing Black smartphone features security in its hardware as well as the software as it was built from the scratch for securely storing and communicating with other devices especially for the United States defense and security community.
Regarding the specifications, it comes with pretty nice configurations. The dual SIM Boeing Black is a 4.3-inch smartphone with qHD display screen, 1.2GHz dual-core ARM processor, 512MB of RAM, micro SD card slot, 1,590mAh battery and Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR. The Android version of the handset is not specified yet.
Boeing Black Android smartphone features disk encryption for encrypted sensitive data storage, hardware root of trust, embedded secure components for trusted operations, trusted platform modules for secure key storage, secure boot to maintain the handset’s image integrity and hardware crypto engine for securely store and transmit data.
Boeing Black also comes with hardware modularity feature so that the user can remove the rear panel and attach available modules such as satellite transceivers, advanced location tracking sensors, extended battery, etc. Boeing has made the device so secure that it will delete the data automatically if the smartphone detects the breaking of the case to open the device.
