Sony’s upcoming android tablet Xperia Tablet Z2’s specification have been leaked online by the popular leakster in Twitter @evleaks, whose most of the leaks were turned out as the real fact in past.
According to the post in the micro-blogging platform, Sony Xperia Tablet Z2 will boast a 10.1-inch display with 1,920 x 1,200 resolution, which is same as the last model. It seems that Sony is considering to use the same resolution in order to keep the battery backup high.
The processor has been upgraded from 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro to the faster 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 and the RAM also updated from 2GB to 3GB.
Sony retained its same 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front camera in the Xperia Tablet Z2. The first generation Xperia Tablet Z hasn’t boasted a LED flash, but it’s still unclear whether the new tablet comes with the LED flash or not. The tablet will come with the latest Android 4.4 KitKat pre-loaded and with the 6.4mm-thick frame, the device will be 0.5mm thinner than the predecessor that had 6.9mm thickness. Sony to insert a massive 6,000mAh battery inside the waterproof body of the Xperia Tablet Z2.
Sony will not be delivering the large internal storage space expected by the consumers, who need at least 32GB of space. Sony will be adding only 16GB of internal storage, where the user accessible space could be around 11GB.
As of now, we don’t have any more details related to the price and availability. But we expect the tablet to get showcased at the upcoming Barcelona MWC 2014 event to be held in next week.
