We were waiting for more and more information related to the next HTC flagship, that could be HTC One 2, HTC M8 or HTC One+. But the rumors of the mini version of next generation HTC smartphone already surfaced and let’s look at the specifications of the same.
@Evleaks, the popular and reliable gadgets leakster account in Twitter, posted the specifications of the upcoming HTC M8 mini smartphone, which will be running on Android 4.4 KitKat and HTC Sense 6.0 UI on top of the software, during the launch.
HTC M8 boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset with a 1.4GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 processor, while the current HTC One mini comes with the same chipset, but it will be coming with the 1.4GHz dual-core Krait 200 processor. Not a big difference though. Storage and RAM power is as same as the current phone – 16GB and 1GB, respectively.
While the first generation HTC One mini is a 4.3-inch device, the One mini 2 will be a 4.5-inch device with the same old 720p display. One big difference is, additional expandable micro SD card slot to the 2nd-gen mini device. HTC One mini 2 (M8 mini) will come with various connectivity options, such as Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and the device will be coming with the 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera compared to the 4MP (UltraPixel) rear camera and 1.6MP (UltraPixel) front camera of HTC One mini.
There were dedicated keys in the One mini, but the HTC M8 mini to come with the virtual onscreen buttons, according to the revelation by @Evleaks.

No details available about the pricing and availability, but HTC could be launching the mini version of HTC M8 not so soon, until it sells enough larger HTC M8 smartphones. As we keep an eye on the mobile world, stay tuned for more latest news and updates.
