Benchmark Test reveals Samsung Galaxy S5 specs

Key Specifications of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S5 smartphone has been leaked online by benchmark testing app AnTuTu, while the device is set to be unveiled by February end at Mobile World Congress 2014.

The AnTuTu benchmark test scored 35666 outperforming other leading phones in the market like Galaxy Note 3, Sony Xperia Z etc. According to the data the S5 would feature a full HD screen with a 5.25-inch display as the rumors mentions. The company will use only full HD displays this year, as it was reported earlier that Samsung will release its first 2K display in Galaxy S5.

AnTuTu’s data reveals that the The Galaxy S5 will be powered by a 2.5 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset with Adreno 330 GPU similar to the processor used in Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S4 and Nexus 5. The new device will have a 16MP primary and a 2.1MP secondary camera when compared with Samsung’s current phones that have 13MP camera. The Galaxy S5 will run on the latest Android 4.4.2 with updated TouchWiz interface. With 3GB of RAM, while the user will have only 1.7GB of free RAM as it would be used by Samsung’s custom interface.

However only standard sensors were detected by the benchmark app as the new device was rumored to feature fingerprint or eye scanners. Samsung’s upcoming device would be Samsung’s most powerful though there has been only minor improvements from the Galaxy S4.

Samsung would unveil the Galaxy S5 on February 24 at the Unpacked 5 event at Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona.
