Sony has just announced that it’s rolling out a firmware update for its Xperia Z, ZR and ZL smartphones, while the Xperia Tablet Z will be receiving the same update in coming weeks.
Don’t be so excited, as this firmware update is nothing to do with the Android 4.4 KitKat, as the software update is still based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and the update will bring much more improvements and bug fixes related to the Bluetooth connectivity, battery, YouTube application and other apps.
The company has announced this news from their official Twitter account, while we have a proof that the Android 4.4 KitKat will be coming to, at least Xperia Z in March 2014. One of the mobile network service provider of Poland, Play has just posted a list of device to get the latest firmware, which includes Xperia Z for the upcoming Android 4.4.2 update.
Even we have some rumors suggesting that the same KitKat taste for Sony’s Xperia Z1 and ZL in February-March.
