As Pinterest is expanding its business to international markets, it launched a refreshed mobile website for those who don’t have access to the Pinterest mobile app.
Pinterest’s updated mobile website comes with a new cleaner aesthetics, but there is no improvements in the features. The useful pins and repins are shown in such a way that we can’t find so much difference in their iOS, Android apps as well as desktop website. Currently, the Pinterest’s iOS app has been rated 4.5 stars by more than 853K users.
Tracy Chou, Software Engineer of Pinterest posted in the blog post today:
“As we launch in new countries around the world, we want to make it easy for everyone to access Pinterest—no matter where you are or what device you’re using. That’s why we recently updated our mobile Website.”
Currently, the new kind of image sharing social network is available in 22 different languages and the service has been made available in various countries such as Japan, Italy, U.K. and France in last year. In January 2014, the company has also launched the website for Indonesian users.
It is expected that the 3 out of 4 Pinterest visitors are logging in through the mobile Apps such as iOS and Android, but the company has never breakdown the numbers yet. But, the blog post indicated that there will be more mobile updates coming in upcoming months. Stay tuned for more coverage on this story.
