Apple still celebrating its 30th anniversary of the Mac, which was on January 24th and now released an video ad that was completely shot using iPhone 5s all over the world on the same day.
Apple skipped this year’s pricey Super Bowl ad and debuted its 30th anniversary celebration ad shot on iPhone 5s handsets, which demonstrate different people using the Mac for many purposes with a combination of a light music. It has changed its website’s homepage, gave its employees special T-shirts on the celebrations day.
The video was shot in 10 countries on 5 continents, which focus on people using the Apple devices to do different types of works, which could be tallied with their recently released iPad advertisement – “Your Verse”. According to the company, the shooters shot more than 70 hours of footage, which was later edited on a Mac and uses an original soundtrack.
Apple debuted the video on its website on this Monday, where it said,
On January 24, 1984, Apple introduced the Macintosh. And with it a promise that the power of technology, put in the hands of everyone, could change the world. On January 24, 2014, we sent 15 camera crews all over the world to show how that promise has become a reality.
This year, Apple didn’t paid millions to stream their advertisements during the Super Bowl, while Microsoft, Sonos, GoDaddy, T-Mobile and other technology related companies opted for the pricey ads. But, this time the company want to leverage the full use of the Social Media and tech blogs to take care of their marketing!
