Although the company has acknowledged about the delayed Android 4.4 KitKat firmware updates to its flagship HTC One, many smartphone owners under Sprint U.S. are already started to receive the update.
Last week, HTC announced that the rolling out of the latest KitKat firmware update has been delayed because of the certification issues. Since, the Taiwanese company already provided the software to its carrier partners in United States and it was just a matter of operating system certification prior to hit the devices, Sprint has began to roll out the update.
Most of the HTC One owners were jealous after finding that HTC One owners in Canada were receiving the update since January 31, this news made them quite happy!
In a surprising move, Sprint has pulled the update back from the server following the downloading of the update. It stated that the update was available by mistake and it will be available soon. However, now the update file is made available to public for download. Now, this should be a wake up call to AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon to roll out the latest Android 4.1 KitKat firmware update to its HTC One users.
