Samsung has announced 10-inch (WXGA display) Galaxy Tab 3 10.1, which is targeted at the lucrative education market. Hence, the company is diversifying its niches, where recently it released the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro and Tab Pro for the professionals and the corporate world.
The South Korean electronic giant has unveiled the new tablet, especially for the K-12 schools. However, the hardware is normal as any other tablets, but it’s the software, which makes sense. Samsung has integrated the Google Play for Education inside the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1, which also comes with the NFC feature to easy setup and share inside the classroom.
With the latest Android 4.4 KitKat firmware, the device will be available for sale from April 2014 onwards. If the company launches a tablet with the latest firmware, that means its all other existing compatible tablets will get the firmware update rolled out before or during the launch period.
The company will be selling the Tab 3 10.1 only for schools or other large-scale buyers via its Samsung distribution partners. Although, the price details hasn’t revealed by the company, but it might be contingent upon large-scale buying. The inside specifications such as processor, RAM, internal storage and other factors not yet available. Stay tuned for more latest news and updates.
