Apple has promised iOS 7 users to fix the most unpopular problem, ‘white screen of death’ bug through an upcoming iOS 7 update.
The bug was reported on Apple’s discussion forums and the issue was discussed on social media like Twitter in September. According to the discussions, the’White/black screen of death’ varied on the face color of the iPhone. If the iPhone had a black face color it would freeze on a black screen with Apple logo and a white screen for iPhone with white face color.
“We have an fix in an upcoming software update for a bug that can occasionally cause a home screen crash,” said Apple spokesperson Trudy Muller to Mashable.
However only iOS 7 users are experiencing the bug with certain users reporting abrupt shutdown of the device when the battery dips to 30 percent level. The glitch is rumored to be fixed with the upcoming 7.1 update which is in the fourth beta stage with the developers.
Since iOS 7 was released there has been quite a number of bugs that had been affecting the new OS though users have been satisfied with the new interface and feedback has largely remained positive with some negative reviews. Apart from the ‘white screen of death fix’ users can expect minor changes in the design and user interface.
