Many rumors regarding the 2014 smartphone releases surfaced and now the speculations of LG being added, where the South Korean electronic giant is said to release its Optimus G Pro successor at Mobile World Congress, Barcelona to clear the way to the flagship LG G3 to be launched in May.
Last year, the company has announced its flagship LG G2 in August and released in September 2013, but Samsung, HTC and Sony announced their flagship smartphones. But according to the South Korean publication Asiae, the launch schedule has been brought forward to May 17th to be held on February 24th and the device could enter the market as soon as next May.
Meanwhile, the rumors points the Samsung’s counter attack via Galaxy S5 smartphone release in the same month or that could also be released one month before, in April. Previously, it was considered as Samsung could reveal the flagship in the MWC event, but later an executive of the company revealed that the Galaxy S5 won’t be coming to MWC.
The report also suggests that the LG G3 smartphone will be boasting a QHD display with 2,560 x 1,440 resolution and the display size could go up to 5.5-inch, while the Samsung and Sony’s flagship are rumored to come with 5.2-inch QHD display screens. Last year’s LG G2 has te same 5.2-inch screen but the 5.5-inch could be termed as a “Phablet” similar to Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Meanwhile, LG’s G Pro successor G Pro 2 is expected come with a giant 5.9-inch QHD display on the MWC Barcelona event.
No details of specification revealed yet and possibility of Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor is as high as the OIS camera sensors.
