As we saw in the large banner outside of the Convention Center Hall, Samsung has unveiled 12.2-inch Galaxy NotePro and Galaxy TabPro tablets creating speculation about the success of big-screen tablets in the market.
“At Samsung, what we always hear constantly is that people want to do more with their tablets. A new line of tablets will enable them to do more but also allow consumption. These premium tablets are both for work and play,” said Nanda Ramchandran, VP of Samsung’ mobile business who presided the event at the CES 2014 in Las Vegas.
The Galaxy NotePro would be available in 12.2-inch display though the TabPro comes in 12.2, 10.1 and 8.4-inch screens. Samsung has mentioned that these tablets were released for combined business and personal use and their design aims at “every possible user case scenario.”
With these tablets Samsung would enter the big-screen tablet markets. The NotePro has a 4 million pixel widescreen display with Magazine UX optimized for large screen. The interface includes a spacious keyboard with easy organization of content. Other features include S Pen, Remote PC access and preloaded WebEx.
Though the NotePro has some notable features, the success of the tablets would depend on whether users would opt for 12.2-inch tablets from the preferred 7-inch tablets. Check the detailed specs below.
