Many would’ve forgotten the once-superhero, Sprint’s HTC Evo 4G LTE smartphone – but the HTC not. In a recent tweet, the President of HTC USA has revealed that these handsets will be receiving the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update in mid-February.
According to his post, the Taiwanese smartphone-maker will “ship” the Android 4.3 firmware to Sprint in this month, which will go to testing mode and then released to the customers in mid-February, if no serious problems found.
However, people are asking for the latest Android 4.4 Kitkat firmware update for Sprint HTC Evo 4G LTE smartphones these days. The device qualifies for the minimum or recommended system requirements to run the latest OS, but we have to wait to see whether HTC will plan to release or not.
Meanwhile, it is better to buy some serious 4.4 running smartphones than waiting for the update. Stay tuned for more information.
@Maury0823 hey Maurice. it will enter sprint testing in mid-Jan and release to customers ~mid-feb.
