Xiaomi, the relatively new and one of the fastest growing smartphone-maker from China plans to double its smartphone shipments in 2014, with more global expansion.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has just announced that he has plans to increase the smartphone shipments to 40 million in 2014. Don’t be surprised, it already shipped around 2 million smartphones in 2013 in China and surrounding countries. Some reports also suggests that the company will be opening its own booth at the CES 2014 event at Las Vegas, for the first time, mostly to announce their expansion to western countries.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi is tremendously growing with its high-end Android smartphones with their own User Interface over it. The company has huge expectations from its recent releases – Xiaomi MI2S, Xiaomi MI3 and Xiaomi Hongmi. In order to enter into the US market, Xiaomi has to struck a deal with the US carriers or they should please them with their extraordinary performance and price range of smartphones.
